While the film was outstanding, cast members were furious with the actor because he refused to take a shower on the set of Fury so that he could get into the character. A reliable source told The Daily Mail, how David Ayer and Brad Pitt were tired of the Honey Boy actor and his behavior was annoying several members on the set.

“Shia was warned about his behaviour by several people on set, including Brad Pitt and director David Ayer. He didn’t heed any of their warnings and found himself staying in a small bed-and-breakfast hotel away from the rest of the cast.”

“Shia drove everyone mad on set trying to prove that he was the most dedicated star. He pulled out his own tooth during the first few weeks of filming and then refused to shower for weeks on end so he could better understand how his character would have felt living in the trenches.”

Safe to say his annoying behavior on the set of Fury was worth it because the 2014 film was a massive hit around the world, earning $210.3 million at the worldwide box office. The drama film was also nominated for several categories, including Critics’ Choice Award for Best Action Movie.

“I don’t like the movies that I made with Spielberg. The only movie that I liked that we made together was ‘Transformers’ one.”

The comments from the actor were surprising because the two had worked on numerous projects before which included Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. However, working with his idol did not turn out to be as enjoyable as he thought.
