While the two actors are known to select projects that can communicate with the audience through a mesmerizing screenplay, they were not very fond of a particular film during the initial days of their careers.

Reeves found his strength in franchise films like The Matrix and John Wick, while Bullock went after one-off character-driven films like The Proposal, While You Were Sleeping, and 2013’s Gravity.

During his appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Reeves shed light on why the sequel didn’t work as people expected.

“At the time, I didn’t respond to the script. I loved playing Jack Traven, and I loved ‘Speed,’ but an ocean liner? I had nothing against the artists involved, but I had the feeling it just wasn’t right.”
