The much-celebrated NBC sitcom Friends found a much larger viewership and appreciation in the streaming era. A new generation of audiences have now watched and re-watched the show, making it a bigger success than what it already was. The sitcom was the most watched program on NBC when it originally aired.
Die-hard fans have celebrated various iconic moments and scenes from the show, even remembering every little detail and easter eggs. However, the DVD uncut versions of the show featured deleted scenes/extended footage that were not included in the TV version. On Instagram, Instagram user stardust.diaryi shared one deleted scene from season 1 of the show.

The scene features the core group played by Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer in Central Perk, teasing Ross and enquiring about Chandler’s new date. One fan tehreemrankhan was surprised at this, writing “So there’s a FRIENDS that I haven’t watched?” Clearly, some die-hard fans were not even aware that this even existed.
Other fans like youcancallmeanj knew about this and criticized the TV version for removing many great scenes, writing “I have watched the uncut version of Friends!! Can’t believe they have deleted so many amazing scenes in the TV version”. The DVD version even included entire subplots and gags that unfortunately were removed from the original version.
As Digital Spy puts it, the DVD versions included many deleted subplots including Ross believing he invented Die Hard, Chandler and Joey both wanting to date Monica, Ross’ bad marriages, Monica and Chandler’s delivery room mistake, and many more. Sandra Bullock Accidentally Addressed Lisa Kudrow As Phoebe At A Party
The popularity of FRIENDS has been unprecedented and various Hollywood celebrities have also been huge fans of the hit sitcom. It seems Speed star Sandra Bullock was also a big admirer of Friends and made a hilarious mistake while talking to Lisa Kudrow, who plays Phoebe in the show. Kudrow revealed this funny tidbit on her latest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The actress stated that she and Bullock were conversing at a big party that they attended once. In the middle of the conversation, the Miss Congeniality star accidentally addressed as her Phoebe much to Kudrow’s astonishment. The FRIENDS star said,
I just love this. I was at a big party and I was talking to Sandra Bullock — name-dropping, I have to, but it’s true. And we were talking, and she was like, ‘Well, I guess you’ll just have to talk to yourself, Phoebe,’ about something, and she called me Phoebe.
The shoe continues to find new audiences to this day and it is not surprising to know that the actors have been synonymous with the characters they play in it.
