Rami Malek And Daniel Craig Recalled Their Work Experience

After Pierce Brosnan’s exit from the adaptation of Ian Fleming’s novel, Daniel Craig took on the role of a younger and more inexperienced version of James Bond, from the 2006 iteration, Casino Royale. Since then, Craig has appeared in several sequels and turned into one of the most appreciated 007 actors. Coming up with his recent iteration in 2021, the actor shared the screen with Rami Malek.

Seemingly done after his 2015 sequel, Spectre, Daniel Craig returned to reprise his role once again, followed by the Oscar winner Rami Malek as the latest Bond villain. Malek played the role of the dangerous and hyper-intelligent terrorist leader Lyutsifer Safin. The duo turned their movie into a massive hit and also had a great screen-sharing experience. Speaking with ExtraTV’s Cheslie Kryst, Craig shared his experience.

He (Malek) is such a consummate professional…acting with Rami is like, I go and sit, breathe, I just give a big sigh of relief because all I’ve got in front of me is somebody who just knows exactly what they’re doing, and knows how to do it really really well.”

Further, listening to Craig being such a sweetheart towards him, even Malek took the cue and praised the James Bond star for his screen presence. “When you see him as 007 for the first time, I’ve only known it from being an audience member. So to see him up close and personal, there’s no doubt there’s a visceral hit. He owns the character, he is bond.” Malek shared.

Rami Malek And Daniel Craig’s Behind-The-Scenes Kiss

While praising each other during their interview with ExtraTV’s Cheslie Kryst, Daniel Craig, and Rami Malek were asked about the headline-making gossip about their behind-the-scenes kiss. “You and Daniel kissing after a hard moment, what was that all about?” Kryst asked Malek and sought the actors to spill the secret.

So we can just take this on now. Every single kiss out there.” Craig laughed.

Enjoying the story, Cheslie Kryst further asked Rami Malek how was his kissing experience and if Daniel Craig was a good kisser. To which the Oscar winner replied, “softest lips in the world, moving on”. Trying to shift the discussion towards something a bit more comfortable, Malek and Craig proceeded with their performance in No Time to Die.

Apparently, the kissing headlines came up after a No Time to Die cast interview with Entertainment Weekly, during the film promotion. That’s when Craig opened up about his habit of kissing his male co-stars to break the ice. “I kiss lots of people… I used to kiss Rami after the end of every scene. It’s like no big deal.” the Bond actor shared.

Thus, trying to figure out if this was true, Cheslie Kryst tried pulling out the story, but unfortunately, the actors moved on after sharing a bit.
