Previously, this project was known as Dreadwolf. In a recent interview, the studio behind the game talked about certain details of the story and which characters will be its protagonists.

The game’s director, Corinne Busche, clarified the following about this popular character from the franchise: “Now, I want to be clear: I adore Solas [and] he plays an important role in the game, but this is not a game about Solas. So in all things we do, trying to capture that authentic experience, we felt the title really needed to change.” Busche talks about how players will need to adjust their expectations and not expect much from this particular character.
On his part, the game’s creative director, John Epler, said the following: “Dragon Age has always been about characters, not just the villains, but also your team, your companions, the other characters in the world.” The game team emphasizes that it is not all about the villains but rather about the game’s protagonists and the companions we will have. The studio wants players to understand what this particular game will be about.
Although Dragon Age: The Veilguard lacks a release date, it has already showcased its initial story trailer and extended gameplay, revealing the game’s primary mechanics.
