While the Solid Snake skin received a lot of backlash for looking nothing like the actual character, fans are hoping the Raiden skin will look better. The trailer has now given a first glimpse at Raiden, and fans are having their say on the character model.

Raiden’s premium skin reveals the character variant is from Metal Gear Solid 2, and fans have already started sharing their reaction. Several responses were once again directed towards how Raiden looks rather different compared to the actual character from the franchise.

The two Raiden variants were also shared on X, and fans have been expressing their thoughts on the characters. One fan perfectly summarized the division over the Raiden skin, as some felt happy about Fortnite choosing the Metal Gear Rising variant, while others think it wasn’t a good choice.

Another fan called on Epic to make the most of the characters included in Fortnite, and organize a PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Fans Would Love to Have an All-Stars Battle-Royale

Some of the well-known characters skins on Fortnite would make for a great PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

With the addition of Solid Snake and Raiden, one fan suggested the game could now have its take on the popular classic title, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is a 2012 title that featured around 24 characters taken from other PlayStation titles, for players to choose and fight.

Fortnite boasts having close to 1800 character skins, of which around 474 skins are classified as rare. The latest addition coming to Fortnite, Raiden, does have fans waiting for a release date. Currently, there is no clear release scheduled by Epic Games for when the Premium Raiden Skin will become available.

The Solid Snake skin has been criticized heavily by fans of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, and as a result, it wouldn’t surprise players if Epic Games delayed the release of the Raiden skin, to ensure it is done correctly. It would also not be a bad bet to predict other variants of Raiden and Solid Snake could be added to the game as well.
