What began as a story of the weakest hunter soon turned out to be a fight between the Rulers and the Monarchs. But it was not always like that. The Absolute Being, or God, divided the forces of Light and Dark into eight pieces.
These became the Eight Rulers and Eight Monarchs. One of the fans delved into this matter and theorized that Sung Jinwoo is the result of God committing suicide. The Absolute Being set the purpose for the Rulers and the Monarchs, with the former protecting the universe and the latter wanting to destroy it. It led to a fight between the two factions.
God’s Amusement Turned Out To Be His End
The purpose set by God led to an unending war. The Rulers got tired of it and begged God to aid them in ending the war. But God refused them, which led seven of the Rulers to rebel against him and kill him. Only Ashborn stayed loyal to him until the very end. Previously, the Rulers were known as ‘Emissaries of God,’ and it was only after his death that they started to call themselves the Rulers. Ashborn was angered by his fellow Rulers and became the Shadow Monarch.
The fan theory claims that it was God’s wish all along to die. But could not do it since he was the strongest being in the universe. For that reason, he split the powers of light and darkness so that they could kill him. Having been there since the inception, it might have made him feel bored. The unending war may have been a part of his amusement, but it soon became tiresome. As a result, he planned his demise at the hands of the Rulers.
But it would not be possible for him to suddenly die since he had to take care of the entire universe. Considering how powerful Sung Jinwoo is in Solo Leveling shows that God was on a different level. Before his death, he might have bestowed the power of Shadow upon Ashborn, knowing he would never betray him. God could use all the powers of the Rulers and Monarchs since he is the one who created them. So, he just let the Rulers kill him since he knew what was coming.
Sung Jinwoo Is God’s Answer to the Oppressive Rulers in Solo Leveling
The Absolute Being was always careful with his steps. He planned everything. He knew he was going to die, so he gave the Shadow Heart to Ashborn. God also created Sung Jinwoo to put an end to the war and ease Ashborn’s heart. The fan theory has a lot of interesting points and holds a strong ground for reasoning. Moreover, it is too real to be considered as a consequence.
Sung Jinwoo’s father was an emissary of the Rulers, and his becoming the Shadow Monarch is not just a mere coincidence. God knew the constant war would make Ashborn’s heart fall into despair. So, before dying, he created Sung Jinwoo to put an end to everything. It is an interesting fan theory and helps create a larger view of Solo Leveling’s audience. But in the end, it is still just a theory. Until official confirmation from Solo Leveling, it will remain a fan theory.
