Hill and Champion’s friendship has been commendable as the duo has supported each other. The duo then discussed workplace toxicity about how their colleagues tried to separate them speaking mean things behind their backs. But they were thankful that all those toxicity eventually fell short when they decided to be best of friends.

Smith was all praise for the celebration of their sisterhood while addressing the workplace environment. Smith said in the show,

“I think in a lot of environments that we get into as black female professionals, unfortunately, we made to believe there can be only one. It’s like, ‘we only have room for one.”

“I was talking to one of our young producers here. One of the things that she brought up is the idea of survival over sisterhood. Survival before sisterhood. And this is one of those instances where you were like, ‘no no, we can survive and be sisters.’”

The actor also said that the idea of begging the world to see black women “in a certain manner” is frustrating when they can not offer that to themself but she is hopeful that this will be resolved when they come together in unity.
