It is finally time for Phase 5 to kick off as only a few days remain until Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes out. With its release, phases 5 and 6 will come crashing down on the MCU fans as Marvel Studios will continuously release both movies and shows one after the other, building up to the main scenario. This time around, an even eviler, more powerful, mastermind supervillain will be introduced into the franchise, Kang the Conqueror. In 2024, Thunderbolts, another MCU movie will be released and some pretty interesting facts have recently come out about it.

Thunderbolts Will Have Yelena as the Team Leader

It has been recently revealed that Yelena will lead the team as team leader, and in addition, will also have to make difficult choices along the way. It is highly speculated that the movie plot will move around Yelena and her fellow team members facing their past horrors and making some tough decisions to survive in this world. As we all can see, the Thunderbolts are not any ordinary group of heroes or villains, but a random group of spies, villains, and outcast characters. So it comes without a doubt that their past will play a big role in the plot of Thunderbolts.

The movie will have Florence Pugh as Yelena, Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster, David Harbour’s Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen starring as Ava Starr, Daniel Brühl reprising his role as Zemo, and the most famous of the bunch, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier. Many other Hollywood superstars are also cast in the movie, though their roles will be revealed later on.

Thunderbolts Slaying off Winter Soldier as a Mere Sacrifice?

In the latest update of Thunderbolts, MCU has revealed that Yelena being the leader of the Thunderbolts will have to make some difficult choices as someone will eventually die in the movie. Now the last part of the sentence comes as a major shock to everyone, as many have still not recovered after Iron Man’s sacrifice to save the world from Thanos in Endgame.

“In addition to being the leader of the team Yelena will have a major role in Thunderbolts. She’s going to have to make some difficult choices and someone will eventually die”

Currently, as it seems, Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier is the odd one, out of the whole group. After Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers exited the public eye, it was suspected that it was only a matter of time before the Winter Soldier also followed in his footsteps to live a quiet life somewhere in the woods. As both of them were from the previous generation and have far exceeded their life expectancy, it can be suspected that MCU will cut off Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier in a major sacrifice play.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has also released a statement about the Thunderbolts that out of the bunch, he declared Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier to be the “most stable” member of the team. And honestly speaking, this does not give a good sign about his role because the most rational ones are the ones to make the stupidest and rash decisions in particular situations.
