Spider-Man Remastered, available in PS5, gets a release date for the PC version. The 2018 PlayStation exclusive game will now expand its reach because of this announcement.
Sony has started bringing some of its flagship exclusive games to PC in recent years. The trend usually happens after the game has been out for quite some time, just like when they announced in 2018 the PC version of God of War.
Spider-Man Remastered Coming To PC
During the State of Play event, Sony announced that Spider-Man Remastered for PC will arrive on August 12, 2022. It will include the same title version that PS5 players received upon purchase, which means the PC version will also contain Spider-Man’s three-part DLC and impressive graphics.
There is no price mentioned yet, but, just like the previous games, it will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store.
This will give PC players the chance to explore games that are highly popular in the market. Mods play a huge part in the gaming population, and it goes the same for the PC community. In the case of God of War in 2018, some mods swapped out Kratos for Homer Simpson, which caused hilarious reactions from players.
Bridging The Gap
This news will excite fans, but will also acknowledge the huge gap between Microsoft and Sony, and how some exclusive games are still unavailable for everyone.
Sony PlayStation chooses few titles to release for PC after a few years, and the decision entails more labor for its gaming staff. Hence, PlayStation has announced that they are hiring people to help work on this project, specifically in the field of PC releases.
With Spider-Man Remastered now on its way to PC, Insomniac is on a good streak after releasing Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. The sequel to the Spider-Man game is scheduled for a 2023 release.
