Rumors surrounding Spider-Man 4 already made headlines during the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Spider-Man: No Way Home which ended with kick-starting the multiversal saga, the film was truly a roller coaster in terms of emotions. From Aunt May’s death to Spidey’s incomplete love story with MJ, with a pinch of nostalgia with the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their version of Spider-Man(s) from different universes. The film made a big impact on audiences with even higher expectations from Spider-Man 4 starring fan-favorite Tom Holland.

Spider-Man 4 Doesn’t want to Clash with Avatar 3
Earlier reports hinted that Spider-Man 4 would be released in late 2024 but the very fact that Avatar 3 has already been announced to release on December 20, 2024, has hindered Spidey’s movie release. Avatar series has proved itself as a titan for the big screen and the popularity surrounding the series ever since its comeback after a decade of dormancy is on the next level. Clashing with the upcoming Avatar movie may prove to be fatal even for our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man’s box office collection.

Yeah I don’t think an MCU movie will ever come out in December ever again. It was a one-off due to COVID reschedulings

Sony still wants Spider-Man 4 to be released in 2024 but Marvel Studios is reducing releases and I think it's quite possible that it will be delayed to 2025 #SpiderMan4 pic.twitter.com/X9Q9qWYBOx

Makes sense.
Both will take like 2 years to make but one of them won't come out until 10 years after.— Bits (@TheBitsGuy2002) January 16, 2023
Hardly surprising, Disney (and Sony for Spider-Man) aren’t going to let two of their own movies compete and affect eachother’s box offices, when they can milk both by releasing them months apart

And just as fans claim, Disney would avoid two of its studios’ movies clashing, if one might take a hit at the box office. Especially, when both movies can be successful and bring in big bucks.

Despite the huge success of Spider-Man: No Way Home which became the sixth highest-grossing film, the filmmakers surely do not want to clash with Avatar and affect the movie’s earnings. If the next Spider-Man movie wants to make it into the cinema by July 2024, the work regarding the same should begin really soon. Tom Holland was last seen playing Spider-Man in the 2021 movie Spider-Man: No Way Home. It has been a long 2 years of break and fans are excited and eager to see Holland once again reprising his fan-favorite role Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is now streaming on Starz in the US.
