Sydney Sweeney seems to be enjoying the sun and the salty breeze down in Australia where a new rom-com she’s starring in is currently being shot. But the same probably can’t be said for Glen Powell after he got smacked right in his crotch by the 25-year-old actress. Though it looked like it was part of the filming, that still ought to hurt.
Photos of the two stars in the hot sun and sizzling swimwear recently popped up all over the internet as they were spotted filming a scene for a new film. While not much with regard to the project has been divulged yet, judging by the scenes, it is certainly going to be a raunchy romance on the screens.
Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell Spotted Filming in Australia
While Sydney Sweeney looked stunning in a yellow floral two-piece, a shirtless Glen Powell flaunted his abs beside his co-star as the two filmed a scene for their upcoming romantic comedy on a boat. During the shooting, the Euphoria actress was seen getting handsy with Powell as her palm trailed off across his chest and she inched in to kiss him, only for her to take a jab at the 34-year-old actor’s groin. Ouch!
Shortly after the Night Teeth actress hit her co-star in the groin, the latter was seen diving into the water as Sweeney perched on the boat’s edge and chatted with him.
All We Know About Sydney Sweeney’s New Rom-Com
The duo was first seen around Surry Hills after which they were spotted at Doube Bay, indicating their prime location to be Harbour City for the forthcoming project.
The R-rated film which will be helmed by Will Gluck, at present, continues to remain untitled. While other details about the movie haven’t been disclosed yet, the cast besides Sweeney and Powell is said to include actors like Bryan Brown, Michelle Hurd, Hadley Robinson, and Darren Barnet.
Gluck, who will be directing the movie, is a Golden Globe nominee who has shepherded various popular rom-coms including Mila Kunis-led Friends With Benefits and 2010’s Easy A.
Sony’s Spider-Woman, Sweeney, who is set to star in the movie, recently garnered immense recognition for playing Cassie Howard in HBO’s Euphoria. Her co-star Powell’s latest film was Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun 2 which became a global box office hit in 2022. And now if DC fans are lucky enough, Powell might even end up being cast as Hal Jordan in James Gunn’s DCU as people demand the actor to step into the role.
More information about the film is yet to be revealed.
