Chan even got several offers to star alongside the Rocky actor. However, there have been several conflicting factors that led the Rush Hour star to turn down these proposals. According to his book Never Grow Up (as per Screen Rant), Chan turned down the offer for Stallone’s 1993 sci-fi action Demolition Man, as he did not want to play a villain.

It was also the reason he denied the offer to star in the fourth installment of the Rambo franchise, for which he was offered the role of a drug dealer. Years later, the Police Story actor was once again approached to star alongside Stallone star for The Expendables sequel.
