Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is being developed by Saber Interactive. With this huge title, the developers have a huge space to fill, as they not only have to pay homage to the Warhammer universe but also don’t make the same mistakes that the original Space Marine did.

It seems like Saber Interactive also knows these pitfalls and the expectations players have on them. In a recent video, Creative Director Oliver Hollis-Leick and his team explained various behind-the-scenes development processes and their passion for the Warhammer universe for a long time. He said:

We wanted action in the sky, on the land. We wanted flames. We wanted Explosions. It is a passion piece for all of the people working at Saber. No matter what the fans are asking for. Trust me, we are asking for even more.

This shows that the people at Saber Interactive adore and care about the Warhammer universe and have set their own expectations higher than those of fans. With a storyline inspired by novels like Know No Fear and character customization based on real-world toys, which can be colored by fans however they want to. They are leaving no stone unturned.
