Now that Spider-Man has opened the door for more opportunities to welcome important characters existing in the multiverse, fans are excited to meet new (and familiar) faces. Here are our best picks for characters that need to join the Spider-Man universe:

Kingpin

After its subtle hint in the Hawkeye series, the Kingpin is one of the much-anticipated characters to come face to face with Spider-Man. He started as a major villain in the Spider-Man comics and has been a huge bane in the web slinger’s life.

He only became associated with Daredevil in the 1980s comics and in the Netflix adaptation of Marvel’s Daredevil. But, Kingpin is actually one of the biggest enemies of Spider-Man after the young hero got a hold of his identity and revealed it to the world.

With Matt Murdock’s brief cameo scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home, there is a great chance that the two will form an unlikely friendship in the coming movies. Hopefully, we get to see them team up and fight their common enemies.

They are both New York City’s finest heroes and they share a common enemy (Kingpin). Sooner or later, when Marvel has decided to incorporate The Defenders into the MCU, we’ll get more Daredevil content.

Black Suit Spider-Man

The post-credits of Spider-Man showed us a clip of Eddie Brock and Venom which is a major hint in the upcoming plans for MCU. This could mean that Spider-Man and Venom will cross paths, and one thing good that comes with that event is the Black Suit.

Spider-Man’s costume has had several designs over the past few films, thanks to Tony Stark’s upgrade. But the Black Suit is forever iconic and loved by fans as well. It has a connection with Venom that makes it more exciting to look forward to!

Hobgoblin

One of the most important Spider-Man villains is Hobgoblin which has not yet appeared in live-action movies. Ned Leeds’s character opens up this opportunity, and fans cannot wait for him to discover and reveal one of his darkest story arcs from the comics.

While Ned is portrayed as Peter’s best friend, it would be a great plot to see their relationship face turmoil. Besides, Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) told Ned that his best friend once tried to kill him. If that isn’t a clue then we can only hope for the best.

Miles Morales

MCU has already teased us with the idea that Miles Morales and Peter Parker live in the same universe. Fans have met his uncle in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and there is a great chance that the two Spider-Men would meet halfway.

It has been a tireless yet exhilarating journey for Peter Parker the past few years, and fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for the young Avenger now that his universe is slowly expanding.
