After a long wait, Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is finally coming. After the annual Annecy Festival, the film cast was revealed including the antagonist of the Spider-Verse. In the sequel to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) will have a reunion with Gwen Stacey’s Spider-Woman (Hailee Steinfeld) and Peter B. Parker’s Spider-Man (Jake Johnson), who will meet new alternate renditions of the character, most notably Jessica Drew’s Spider-Woman (Issa Rae) and Miguel O’Hara’s futuristic Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac).
The sequel will have two installments, with Across The Spider-Verse being the first part scheduled for June 2, 2023, while the second part, now titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, releasing in March 2024.

According to Sony, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse‘s Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) will have amazing powers.
Spider-Man 2099 first appeared in 1992 comics and became quite popular who returned in multiple comic runs, as well as the Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors television series and various video games. The character debuted on the big screen through the post-credits scenes of Into The Spider-Verse voiced by Moon Knight’s actor Oscar Issac. He appeared to attack Miles Morales in the first trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival that was held in France, Sony shared a new look regarding the upcoming film. Sony revealed the powers of Oscar Issac’s Spider-Man 2099 in the upcoming film. The studio said this:
“Unlike other Spideys, Miguel O’Hara wasn’t bitten by a radioactive bug and doesn’t have Spidey Sense. But with advanced tech and his own prowess, he’s got super strength! wall-climbing claws! a giant laser web! a flying wing-suit!!”
Who is Spider-Man 2099 in Across the Spider-Verse?
Spider-Man 2099 is a Marvel Comics superhero created by Peter David and Rick Leonardi in 1992 for the Marvel 2099 comic book series. His real identity is Miguel O’Hara, a brilliant Irish-Mexican geneticist who attempting to re-create the abilities of the original Spider-Man causes half of his DNA to be accidentally changed with a spider’s genetic code. Due to that, he gains abilities like increased speed, strength, and agility, similar to that of Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in theatres on June 2, 2023.
