In the wake of the recent highly popular Fallout series, many gamers have begun to play and replay the existing games, sparking a newfound popularity for the already widely beloved franchise. Chief among these is the fan-favorite game New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment.
The game was first released in 2010 and was built off of the foundation laid by Bethesda’s Fallout 3, the company’s first entry in the franchise. Recently, a fan playing the title for the first time took to X once they noticed a familiar voice belonging to none other than Yuri Lowenthal, the voice of Peter Parker in Insomniac’s recent Spider-Man games, as well as Neil in the Rooster Teeth series Camp Camp.
Yuri Lowenthal’s Biggest Fallout Role
In a light-hearted response, Lowenthal mentioned how the poster would be completely sick of him by the time he finished New Vegas.
Understandable, as not only does he play several major roles in the game, including Lars Taggart, Nolan McNamara, the grunts of the silent protagonist when playing as a male, and even Man, but in total he voices around seventy different roles in New Vegas alone.
Oh you’re gonna be sick of me by the time you finish that game…

That is not the end of Mr. Lowenthal’s experience with the franchise, either. In 2015’s Fallout 4, he voiced two roles. Of course, he has been prolific in his work outside of the franchise as well, but as of late, he has gained widespread acclaim for his portrayal of Peter Parker in Insomniac’s games, as well as in other titles such as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3.
Fallout: New Show, New Vegas
Attention to the franchise has skyrocketed recently thanks to the release of the hit Amazon Prime series, which gained extremely positive critical reception and reinvigorated love for the series. The show played with the toys of the universe quite a bit, but perhaps it is connected to no game more than New Vegas.
Many have pointed out that New Vegas is quite possibly one of the biggest influences for the TV show. Considering how it is one of the best games in the series, it’s nice to know that the show didn’t just outright neglect it.
