Throughout your gaming journey, we are sure that you have played as a cowboy with a revolver, an alien with an extraterrestrial weapon, or a soldier with a grenade, but it’s time for all of those to make way for the craziest recent video game concept, a squirrel going around shooting everybody with its firearm. That’s not going to have any drastic consequences, right? Squirrel With a Gun sounds like a wacky but extremely enjoyable blast.

A Squirrel With a Gun Ain’t Nothing to Mess With

The internet seems to have found its latest viral obsession in the form of an adorable little creature running around with a firearm obviously made for human use. Not much else needs to be explained about the general concept of Squirrel With a Gun. It is easily one of the most unexpected upcoming games, especially in a world of huge AAA titles and never-ending console wars.

The game is currently being developed by Dan DeEntremont, and PC players are in for a surprisingly nutty treat. Early footage of Squirrel With a Gun doesn’t waste any time living up to its name and introduces the viewer to the titular squirrel, who is completely comfortable holding and using standard-sized guns. The revealed footage further shows the squirrel going after various individuals while also shooting at and obliterating agents with a wide range of firearm weaponry.

Squirrel With a Gun Sounds Quite Nuts

The Main Character of Squirrel With a Gun Is a Squirrel

Don’t be fooled into thinking that there are any titular limitations to Squirrel With a Gun because the upcoming action-packed banger will let you do a lot more with the main character. You can make your squirrel parry incoming attacks, after which you can disarm the enemies. You can also utilize guns in ways never thought of before, like using a firearm’s recoil to travel long distances by literally flying across the air, something you just can’t do if you are a squirrel without a gun.

Of course, Squirrel With a Gun also lets you unleash your inner creature of mischief because, similar to Grand Theft Auto‘s carjacking feature, you can steal from your fellow neighborhood residents, although here it’s usually for food or their phones. You thought that was all this ambitious video game offered? The Squirrel With a Gun trailer actually showed some more features, including putting cute little accessories like cool hats on the furry gunslinger.

In Squirrel With a Gun, there are also a bunch of secret lab puzzles that, upon completion, rightfully reward your character with a yummy and well-deserved treat. The infamous armed squirrel joins other amazing titles in the “animals on the loose” genre, such as Goat Simulator and the Untitled Goose Game. So, when is Squirrel With a Gun coming out?

DeEntremont still has not provided awaiting players with an official release date for the game, with the only response from the developer being “good question!” on Steam whenever it is brought up.
