A Tradition Of Star Wars Set By George Lucas Was Broken In An Episode Of Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka

The Men in Black II star, Rosario Dawson, recently got her spinoff series Ahsoka, and she is grateful as already 4 episodes have launched in an eight-episode series. The 44-year-old actress shines as the Jedi Knight but the pace the series is moving is making it a bit bland according to the critics’ reviews.

However, talking about the tradition of George Lucas that wasn’t kept in mind is the usage of real-life technology that was last seen in the movie Star Wars Holiday Special. This project is even considered as the worst project in the life of George Lucas. The creator of Star Wars wanted the franchise to be based on both Science and Fantasy adventures, so some things had to be familiar, so audiences get it and not too old to make it an advanced technology.

While The balance of science and fiction has certainly changed over the years and now it feels more immersive but still one thing that breaks the longstanding tradition is the Printed photo of Jedi Master Kanan Jarrus. It got caught while showing the cockpit of the Ghost in a detailed manner. Though it has been praised as it shows how important the memories of Kanan Jarrus are to Hera.

First The Glasses In the Mandalorian Series And Now The Printed Photo In Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka

This is also surprising that this is not the first time a printed photo has been shown, before this Star Wars Holiday Special even broke the same tradition. The reason George Lucas hates that part and considers it the worst project ever done in the Star Wars franchise. But previously in one of the episodes of Mandalorian season 3, a steering wheel was shown, which is also against the tradition of George Lucas. But he didn’t go for any objection. It shows that with the advancement in time, things are getting accepted.

Printed photos reverberate in a unique way now, it doesn’t have to be something that restricts the advancement of the franchise, rather it is more of an emotional touch than it was back in 1977. Talking about breaking a tradition even the Mandalorian series did break one as Dr. Perishing was seen wearing Glasses in one of the Episodes of Star Wars Mandalorian. In the Star Wars saga, regular eyeglasses are not something George Lucas is a fan of, but the Star Wars comic characters have worn glasses previously.

The question is if the traditions can be broken right now, why it wasn’t made simpler before? The most valid response to this can be that advanced technologies are for the wealthier planets, but Hera Syndulla belongs to a poverty-stricken planet, Ryloth. Printed photos are more in use over there. But the final verdict should be given by the Maker of Star Wars, till then you can stream Ahsoka only on Disney+
