A famous Youtube channel, Star Wars Theory, that debunks popular theories surrounding Star Wars has revealed that George Lucas, who is well-known for launching the Star Wars franchise, is not a huge fan of the recent Star Wars movies. Star Wars Theory, also known as Toos, said in one of his latest videos,

“I know people who know [George Lucas] and they say he’s not too happy with the stuff that been — kind of like the sequel trilogy stuff.”

As per his sources, Lucas is not a huge fan of J.J. Abrams’ sequel trilogy. Even in the past, he has revealed that he is not keeping up with the latest Star Wars films.

During the Q&A session, Lucas was asked, “The world has changed so much since the first Star Wars movie, how do you think the changes in the fight for racial justice will impact the Star Wars universe going forward?” The filmmaker then replied,

“I don’t know, I mean. I kind of lost control of Star Wars, so it’s going off in a different path than what I intended but the first six [Star Wars films] are very much mine and my philosophy.”

Lucas is also known for his work in the Indiana Jones franchise and for establishing Lucasfilm in 1971.

During an interview with Charlie Rose in 2015. George Lucas called The Walt Disney Company “white slavers.” He said,

“All the Star Wars films. I loved them. I created them. I’m very intimately involved in them. And obviously to sell them off — I sold them to the white slavers.”

Lucas co-wrote and was the executive producer for all six Star Wars films made between 1977 and 2005. He was also the director of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and its three prequels.
