Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games announced a classic Star Wars games collection, Star Wars Heritage Pack for Nintendo Switch which will have a total of seven games. These seven games have been released and are available for purchase separately on Switch eShop for quite some time. But players will be able to get these seven games as a collection this time.
Star Wars Heritage Pack is now digitally available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. It will be available on retailers like Amazon and Target as part of the physical release on December 8 for $59.99.
Star Wars Heritage Pack is Getting a Physical Release for Switch
Aspyr has ported several classic Star Wars games to modern systems for quite some time now. The developer first released Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast to the Nintendo Switch in 2019 and then Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy in 2020 with Star Wars Episode I: Racer, following suit later the same year.

Now, the developer is physically releasing seven classic Star Wars games including,
- Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
- Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
- Star Wars Episode I: Racer
- Star Wars: Republic Commando
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
However, there’s a catch as only five games in the bundle will be on the Switch cartridge. Knights of the Old Republic and Old Republic II in the collection will be available as digital downloads. Although there hasn’t been any reason given why these two games require a digital download, it could likely be due to storage limitations.
Star Wars Heritage Pack Has The Best Star Wars Titles
Many games in the announced Heritage Pack have been loved by fans but fans consider Knights of the Old Republic as the best Star Wars game. Old Republic I was set thousands of years before the original trilogy. Players were captivated by the game’s immersive storyline, complex characters, exciting combat, and a morality system that gave the players the freedom to choose between the light and dark sides of the Force.
The game immersed players with levels of choices for them to decide the ending they’d like to see. Old Republic II: The Sith Lords did do well too with improvements in gameplay mechanics. But no other game has been able to dethrone Knights of the Old Republic.

The Force Unleashed and Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast are other fan-favorite games in the Heritage Pack. The Force Unleashed lets players play as Starkiller while Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast has a single-player campaign where players play as Kyle Katarn and face off against legendary characters from the Star Wars universe. Other notable additions in the bundle are Star Wars Episode I: Racer and Republic Commando.
The Star Wars: Heritage Pack was initially a part of the official continuity, however, it changed after Disney bought the franchise. These games come under the Star Wars Legends brand now. The Star Wars Heritage Pack physical collection is now available for pre-order at retailers and the digital bundle is available on the Nintendo Switch eShop at $79.99, $20 more than the physical collection.
