Starfield is right around the corner, and players are counting down the hours and minutes until its release. The developers at Bethesda have noticed the excitement from players and they have been watching the community on Reddit as they post their excitement for all to see. Even Starfield’s Director, Todd Howard, has commented on Reddit with his appreciation to the community as a whole.

What Has Todd Howard Said on Reddit Towards the Starfield Community?
Throughout the development of Starfield, there have been many times when fans’ excitement has exceeded their expectations. As it tuns out, when new trailers and sneak peeks have been revealed, Todd Howard has been keeping an eye on the community of Reddit. The Director admits he has been a long time lurker, watching the community from afar and seeing their excitement. He says it inspired the whole Bethesda team, who have been working hard on Starfield.
In Todd Howard’s message on Reddit, he addressed the fans of Starfield in probably one of the most sincere ways possible by saying that at Bethesda:
“We like to say we have gaming’s smartest fans, and you certainly are.”
This can be considered very accurate, as the Bethesda fan base is full of unique groups of gamers who will spend hundreds to even thousands of hours playing the company’s titles. This community can be seen finding all puzzles, discovering each hidden quest, and exploring every inch of a game, which isn’t an easy challenge to achieve.
To finish off his message to fans, Howard stated that Starfield has been a labour of love for Bethesda and the fact there is a community built around the game means the world to the development team. He expressed that he cannot wait to see gamers log into Starfield for the first time and it is such a lovely thing to hear from such a large developer like Bethesda. Seeing this kind of appreciation from the Starfield Director is something that has sent fans over the moon.

What Has the Starfield Community Said in Response to This Reddit Post?
It must be said that the Reddit community isn’t always the best, as there can be a lot of trolls on the internet who love to cause a bit of chaos. But from what can be seen in this Reddit community, there isn’t a lot of this sort of behaviour in sight. Many of the responses to Todd Howard’s comment are highly positive, and seem to enjoy that he has been watching the Reddit page whilst fans wait for Starfield.
Throughout this Reddit feed, there are numerous responses that could take hours to scroll through, as many fans of Starfield have been flocking to reply to his post. Still, there are some that stand out saying things like:
“Here for this legendary post, thank you Todd and everyone at Bethesda. We really respect all your years of hard work.”
Another comment under Howard’s post said:
“I’m beyond excited. I feel like a kid before Christmas. I’m at work counting the hours lol”
There are even fans who have taken a more joking side of this comment to respond with things like “A message from Godd“, just showing how the community holds him to such a high standard. This all exhibits how a simple post like this can have such a significant effect on the fans as a whole, as they are still commenting on his post even now, and showing their excitement towards the release of Starfield.
