Less than a year after its release, Starfield achieved impressive sales and reviews, but many players agree it was not what they were expecting. Bethesda, on their part, promised that this year they would release the anticipated DLC for the game called Shattered Space. Meanwhile, the community is taking advantage of the many mods made possible by the new tool presented by the studio, which allows for all kinds of mods to the game.

With Creations Lab, users can dare to do all sorts of things within this title. One player, for example, achieved something that even the studio could not do in all those years of development. Now the title runs at 120 FPS on the Xbox Series S.

Not even Todd Howard’s team managed to do this with the game. This quickly went viral on social media, with many videos showing how this particular mod works.

In an extensive video showing gameplay at 120 FPS on the Series S, it is clear that this player did a fantastic job achieving this goal. However, some users were surprised to discover that the console’s graphical performance significantly decreased in order to achieve this frame rate.

On X, many commented that the studio could have achieved this but was not willing to sacrifice graphical quality to improve performance.

The creator of this mod explains in the video that achieving this high performance requires losing all types of texture quality in the game. Nevertheless, many players might be willing to sacrifice this quality for the game to run at 120 FPS on the home console. On the other hand, most users prefer to continue playing the game as it is, preserving the graphical quality and maintaining the game’s outstanding visual appeal.

Although the studio has not yet confirmed the expansion’s release date, they have already unveiled the first trailer, showcasing several new story elements and introducing new items and features for players to utilize. The only known fact is that it will arrive sometime this year. The company is also preparing other games set to be released in 2024, such as Avowed, Indiana Jones, and others.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
