Xbox Series X Sales Increase by 1000%, all Thanks to Starfield.

Starfield completely understood the real purpose of console exclusive titles as it ensured that its dedicated platform enjoyed all the benefits that come with game exclusivity. People had been waiting for the video game for so long, that during the weeks leading up to its release, it was all one could see on the internet.

Sure, the ambitious space RPG can also be played on PC, but with Xbox Series X being the only console on which it was released, it proved to be highly advantageous for Microsoft and Xbox.

The huge increase in Xbox Series X sales was initially observed by a user on Twitter/X called, @PeterOvo5. In their post, the user shared a screenshot from Amazon’s “movers and shakers” sales charts, and the recent triumph of the Xbox Series X was quite apparent. In fact, the console jumped extremely high on the chart, crossing over hundreds of spots caused by a 1,056% increase in sales.

The role of Starfield in all of this can be seen because this sales boost took place just one week before the RPG’s official launch.

As we get closer to the official release date for the full version of Starfield, the sales for Xbox Series X also keep increasing, and they do not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. At the time that the aforementioned post on Twitter/X was shared, the console was in 32nd place on Amazon’s Best Sellers in Video Games list. So, it is actually quite impressive that while this article gets written, the Xbox Series X has reached all the way up to 15th place on the platform’s top-selling list.

The amazing increase in sales Starfield has given Microsoft’s Xbox Series X should be an eye-opener for the company because of how much the console has stumbled throughout the infamous “console wars.” This level of success is enough to suggest Xbox should definitely focus on more exclusive titles in the near future.

When gamers will not be able to play a hyped and anticipated video game on any other console, they will only have one place to go, and Microsoft can ensure that place is the Xbox Series X.
