SHIFT UP has done a lot to ensure the Stellar Blade experience is unique to each player. Borrowing elements from FromSoftware titles, it was compared quite a bit to Sekiro before launch. While the difficulty may not be the same, there is no doubt that the game engages all of your senses.

But what if that could be taken even further? Well, with our current technology, that isn’t really possible. Experiments are on, but those are for specific games, and none are on any mainstream console. That fact hasn’t stopped AI from making fantastical claims about how you can experience the game in a new way!

Potential AI Article Reports Stellar Blade Can Use Biometric Data to Personalize Gameplay

Human-to-game interfacing has come a long way over the years. Yes, we do now have programs that can detect your heart rate, track your eyes, and even allow you to control on-screen actions with just your mind. However, none of these are possible on the PlayStation 5.

So, when a fan spotted an article stating players can now “connect their biometric data” to the game to enhance immersion, they were understandably confused. The article states that by reading the player’s heart rate, perspiration, and brain activity through something called the EVE Protocol Uplink.

Using this data, the game can allegedly expertly calibrate its difficulty to offer a far more immersive experience. If this were true, the feature might be able to solve the one criticism people have regarding Stellar Blade‘s costumes. However, there are two main reasons to ignore such reports.

For one, this is a pretty big feature that SHIFT UP would have announced with fanfare. Secondly, it’s not even possible to upload biometric data using the PlayStation 5! Currently, no official external accessories can be linked to the console to read and interpret this data for Stellar Blade.

The fan does state that the article is likely generated by AI, and the replies to the post agree.

Despite people understanding this is misinformation, articles such as these can still damage SHIFT UP’s reputation if enough people believe it.

Ever since people got their first look at the game, controversies regarding the character design began to crop up almost immediately.

Now, two months after its launch, Stellar Blade has sold over a million copies—no small feat for a console-exclusive title. The game achieved this by delivering a solid experience with stylish flair.

Many were worried that Eve’s character design hinted that the game might be directed more toward fan service than actual gameplay. Hyung-Tae Kim has managed to balance both masterfully, as the game is not only beautiful but also challenging with a story that retains player attention.

The game’s creator has already hinted that a sequel is very well on the table, and many fans are hoping it becomes a three-part series. SHIFT UP is constantly adding new features and enhancements to the game with periodic updates, and some fans expect DLC to be announced in the future as well.
