Stellar Blade was a massive triumph for Shift Up and Sony Interactive Entertainment. The developers earned the praise and are collecting flowers from it while also providing more support and content in a new update that many believe should be implemented in other games.

Cosmetics, customization, and personalization are among the few reasons why the game was well-received and the gaming community believes the multiplayer parts are for the upcoming Call of Duty. Perhaps Activision should take notes to make their project more appealing.

Most of the outfits and cosmetic items that were in Stellar Blade were designed almost a decade ago by director Hyung-Tae Kim. The vision of the director took years to realize and it was all worth it, and the studio should be proud of the final product and how it inspired other game developers. The latest update features new outfits and a hair salon to change the hairstyle of Eve which can allow players to standout and make their experience unique.

Some players think this feature should be implemented by Treyarch Studios and Raven Software for this year’s entry and avoid ridiculous crossover skins and cosmetic items that has plagued the franchise for years. Hosting crossovers with other popular franchises is one thing but having it manifest in the gameplay can ruin the experience and decrease the sense of realism.

Adding a hair salon to the customization menu will drastically improve the personalization and customization feature of the multiplayer lobbies. There is a low likelihood that players would sport a similar hairstyle and if the developers can come up with an advanced mechanic that would push the boundaries for modifying a character’s appearance.

Call of Duty Multiplayer Could Use a Better Customization Feature

Black Ops 6 multiplayer needs to be a step up from previous installments.

Unlike other live service games with competitive players that often lead to toxicity, Activision should implement a new feature for character customization that is far more advanced and detailed compared to Rockstar Games and Grand Theft Auto Online. Developers should supply the community with the right tools to better express themselves in a game and showcase the horsepower of a next-generation console like the PlayStation 5.

Shift Up understood the assignment and appealed to the gaming community by encouraging its creativity and allowing it to flourish in the game. Eve may belong to everyone but not one player will have the character wear the same outfit or sport the same hairstyle as soon as the update goes live.

The players will feel a great sense of ownership and will establish a firm and deeper connection with the character. Activision can build upon the success of the PlayStation 5 exclusive title and use it to the advantage of the Call of Duty brand.

Perhaps the player count will skyrocket once the developers will release a similar feature and players will spend hours crafting and modifying the perfect character that will reflect them best. Game developers can inspire creativity and having a hair salon will do the trick.
