Stephanie McMahon announced on her surprise return to WrestleMania 40 that she was proud of this year’s event as it was the first in the ‘Paul Levesque era’. Triple H has been running a pretty tight ship at WWE leading up to WrestleMania 40. The event was a first since WWE merged with UFC under the banner of TKO Group Holdings. While the company moves away from the control of the McMahon family, Triple H is the one still standing at its top as the Chief Content Officer.
Fans pointed out the fact that Triple H had managed to make some amazing creative decisions for the company since he took over. He even changed Vince McMahon’s earlier protocol for WrestleMania by including the American national anthem during the opening night.
Triple H Creates New Legacy With WrestleMania 40 That Would Trump Vince McMahon
Triple H may be the last man standing from the McMahon family in the WWE, but he’s definitely not planning to follow Vince McMahon‘s legacy. The former wrestler is planning to make a name for himself in the wrestling business, as the chief content officer and head of creative at the company. WrestleMania 40 is proof that Paul Levesque can create a legacy of his own that would trump McMahon.
While opening the second night of the event, Stephanie McMahon shared that WWE is now witnessing the ‘Paul Levesque era’ of WWE. She shared (via Variety):
“Every WrestleMania is special for its own reason. But I think Wrestlemania 40 might be the one I am most proud of, because this is the first WrestleMania of the Paul Levesque era.”
Fans had some cheeky comments about the success that Triple H brought to the event after taking over from Vince McMahon. One fan shared that he stole McMahon’s daughter and company and called him Batman. Another fan shared that he was called ‘The Game’ for a reason. It was a moniker that Triple H gave himself during his wrestling days and explained that he was not a student of the game or even the best in the game, but he was ‘The Game’ himself.

Triple H’s management style is receiving praise from wrestling lovers, especially after another successful edition of WrestleMania. On the second night main event, Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns to finish his story in WrestleMania in a match that was fought under ‘Bloodline Riles’.

Triple H took WrestleMania to peak levels with his creative decisions during the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship title match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. While the Bloodline appeared alongside Roman Reigns for the match, Rhodes got the support from several WWE veterans, bringing back the attitude era nostalgia to wrestling fans. He received support from none other than John Cena and The Undertaker to take down Reigns.
