Erin Moriarty And Megyn Kelly Stir Controversy Over Plastic Surgery

The whole internet’s buzzing about Erin Moriarty and Megyn Kelly, who’ve kicked off a heated debate about plastic surgery. Moriarty, known for her performance as Starlight in The Boys, decided to take a break from social media.

It all started when the former Fox News host made some pretty harsh comments about Moriarty’s looks. On her show, Megyn Kelly, she used Moriarty as an example, talking about what she called a “societal addiction to plastic surgery.”

She even brought up some photos of Moriarty, claiming they were recent and showing changes to her nose and cheeks. Kelly didn’t mince words, saying she found it troubling and wanted to reach out to young girls, urging them not to go down the same path.

But Moriarty wasn’t about to let that slide. She poured out her thoughts in a long post on Instagram, saying she never expected to have to deal with this kind of negativity. She wrote,

“This is something I truly never anticipated writing. We’re all subject to levels of bullying throughout our lives but I am horrified.”

She set the record straight, pointing out that the “before” photo Kelly showed was taken years ago. Moriarty was clear in her post: she was taking a break from social media because of this mess.

She even hinted that her account might be “deactivated” for a while. In her message, Moriarty didn’t hold back on addressing Kelly directly. She stated,

“To receive a message about a disgustingly false, counterproductive to the degree of being ironically misogynistic video of Megyn Kelly commenting on the manner — to learn the widespread nature of this has left me horrified.”

She made it clear that implying she’s had plastic surgery is just as false as Kelly’s belief that quitting her job would somehow help women. She stated,

“Implying my photo is reflective of women being in a worse place is as false as my conviction in saying that if you resigned, you would be leaving women in a better place.”

The whole situation got people talking. Moriarty’s fans showed their support, and the whole incident sparked some serious reflection on how the media treats celebrities.

However, after some time away, Moriarty made a comeback on Instagram. She wanted to thank her fans for sticking by her side.

Further, the artist added,

“Stories that should be heard FAR more than mine. I do believe we have a long way to go. In the meantime: talk to me. I wanna hear. Safe zones, empathy and/or sympathy, and catharsis: a medicinal combo. Trust me.”

Moriarty had been silent on social media since addressing Kelly’s hurtful remarks, stating that she was done with it but keeping her account public for people to see her response.

Her return prompts reflection on the pressures of fame and navigating public scrutiny. It’s a reminder of the challenges faced by celebrities in the digital age and the strength needed to overcome them.
