The Japan-based developer Atlus has released a new trailer for Persona 3 Reload named Conflicting Fates showcasing the antagonist team Strega. Although Strega appeared in Persona 3, team members Takaya Sakaki, Chidori Yoshino, and Jin Shirato return in Persona 3 Reload with some surprises up their sleeves.
The trailer also revealed an improved battle system as well as the new gameplay elements. Persona 3 Reload will also have new story content with a new episode that will focus on Strega. Persona 3 Reload will launch on February 2, 2024, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows and Steam.
New Persona 3 Reload Trailer Puts Strega into Spotlight
The new trailer is three minutes long and gives the best look so far at what the game has in store for the players. In the trailer, three members of Persona users group Strega are revealed alongside their skills and abilities. Takaya is the leader of Strega that uses Dark Hour to take revenge on others. The other two members are Chidori and Jin.
The trailer shows the activities players can partake in on school days and the powerful attacks that they can perform during combat. It also contains some content from Persona 3 including the remastered songs from the original soundtrack and a new English voice-over cast. There are also link-up episodes for players to interact with their friends.
A new episode focusing on Strega is also added that will reveal their backstory and upbringing. The game will bring a new story but will have some content from the original Persona 3 game.
It has already been confirmed that the game will not have any content from other Persona titles such as Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable, including the female protagonist. The trailer is just a glimpse of the world in Persona 3 Reload and players will have much more waiting for them.
Persona 3 Reload Will Bring Revamped Battle System
The revamped battle system in Persona 3 Reload will help players get an advantage during combat as each attack will have an attribute and enemies will have weaknesses, as the new Persona blog post reveals. If players attack the enemy’s weakness with attributes they can knock them down and use an all-out attack.
However, the same goes for players as they will also be knocked down if attacked on their weak point. Persona 3 Reload will also have the Shift Battle mechanics. The Baton Pass from Persona 5 gives power boosts and players will be able to pass the attacks to their teammates.
