Dwayne Johnson is one of the most well-recognized faces in the world in current times. Be it due to his wrestling career, fighting in WWE, his acting career, starring in massive movies like Red Notice, Black Adam, Moana, and the Fast and Furious franchise. Being so involved and well-versed in the ins and outs of the industry, the actor has gotten many opportunities to be part of massively successful projects.
One such project that Johnson was almost part of was the iconic and widely adored franchise, The Transformers.
Dwayne Johnson Flirted With Transformers Actress On Stage
Dwayne Johnson and Megan Fox, best known for her work in the Transformers franchise, were presenting an award at the Teen Choice Awards for TV Actor Comedy went the two took part in a bit for the entertainment of the audience. Johnson talked about how he won Choice Sleezbag for his work in Mummy Returns. The actor, as a form of flirting, told Fox that though he won an award for that type of behavior, that was all, in fact, acting, and in reality, he was quite the gentleman.
“That’s too bad because I like strong guys who can be as gentle as a pussycat” she said.
Fox followed this up by asking if the actor was gentle like a pussycat, to which he went back and said that the comparison was more like a panther or a mountain lion and less like a small domesticated animal. Fox was quick to reply to this by saying that she actually much preferred the smaller animal.
Dwayne Johnson Was Going To Be In Transformers
This interaction between the ex-wrestler and Megan Fox was quite interesting due to the rumors that flew around in 2013 about Dwayne Johnson being part of the, then, upcoming Transformers movie, Transformers: Age of Extinction. One fan went on to Twitter and directly asked the actor about these rumors and surprisingly, Johnson responded.
“Michael Bay offered me Transformers, but I was unavailable due to Hercules. Then Wahlberg was offered the role.” He said.
The actor explained that while he was offered a part in the movie, he was unable to accept it due to his being preoccupied with another project, his 2014 movie, Hercules. The actor revealed that due to this, his role was given to the Acadamy Award nominee, Mark Wahlberg.
