Arnold Schwarzenegger ventured into acting after his successful bodybuilding career. He was serious about the profession and wanted to take acting lessons to become a capable actor. He took lessons from legendary comedian Milton Berle to learn and enhance his comedic skills.

Berle taught Schwarzenegger the importance of timing while acting. Schwarzenegger talked about this on The Howard Stern Show saying,

“I went to him because he’s aware of the difficulties of Germans or Austrians adapting to the American humor. So I asked him to help me with the timing and to write some jokes for me for speeches and stuff like that. He was very happy to take on the whole thing. He was so loving, he would go sit in the front row when I give a speech somewhere and then he would come up to me afterward and he would say ‘You know the timing was off.

I told you when you go out there to say this is wonderful to get this award’. But this award is the most recent. He says, ‘Why do you say most recent Arnold, why don’t you say most, and then you get emotional, wait a little bit, and then you say recent. Don’t blow the line right away, the timing is so important, such an idiot bodybuilding idiot motherf**ker'”

Schwarzenegger seems to be very grateful to Berle for teaching him the basics of acting and the importance of timing and catharsis. Since then, he has gone on to become one of the leading actors in the industry with many memorable performances.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is now 76 years old and the once 7th time Mr. Olympian does not have the chiseled abs and amazing muscles anymore. He hilariously ridiculed his aging body in an appearance on The Howard Stern Show saying,

“I kind of smile because every day I do look in a mirror and I say, ‘Yep, you suck. Look at this body. Look at the [pectoral] muscles that used to be firm and perky and really powerful. Now they’re just hanging there.’ I mean, what the hell is going on here? When you’ve been hailed for years as this supreme body, and you have the definition and you see the veins coming down your abs, and you see veins on top of your chest and then cut, you roll the clock 50 years and you’re standing there and you don’t see that anymore

Even at this age, Schwarzenegger is still strong as ever and continues to be enthusiastic as an actor. Netflix recently put out a documentary based on his life called Arnold. His recent Netflix series FUBAR was also renewed for a second season.
