We all know that the supervillain died in the Arkhamverse. His appearance in the title explained that he was from a different world. During the interview, the actor was asked to provide insight into the character’s background.

Talking about the world he comes from and, more importantly, the version of Gotham he comes from, Karliak said the following:

In the same way that the Gotham City that we are used to is very dark and feels like Batman’s city, the version of Gotham that this guy hails from is very much the Joker’s. It is a very looney version of the world we know.

It is exciting to think about Gotham, which belongs to the Clown Prince of Crime. Covered in various shades of fluorescent green and purple, psychopathy and lunacy are as rampant as the air in the atmosphere.

Moreover, considering how the actor calls it a looney version of the city, it implies that there might not have been someone who has been an opposing force against all of Mr. J’s madness.

But what about the Caped Crusader? How can Gotham ever be Mr. J’s city? How can the Dark Knight ever let that happen? On this, the actor chose to remain mum but most undoubtedly left fans wondering.

Kill the Justice League’s Iteration of the Clown Prince of Crime Might Not Have to Worry About The Dark Knight

The character comes from a different world, but is it a world without the Caped Crusader?

It is worth noting that when a character is from a different world, the rules of the world one usually associates with the characters DC fans love might be moot. For example, when asked if Karliak’s iteration of the character has even met his arch-nemesis in his world, this was his response:

I think that is something that you are going to have to wait until you’ve played to find out.

All of this uncertainty and these secrets will most likely be uncovered as the story progresses and the character becomes playable in the upcoming season of the title. But is it possible that the world this version of the supervillain calls home has no Dark Knight?
