Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is one of the most divisive games to be released in recent times, as it has the potential to tarnish the spectacular image that Rocksteady had built for itself with the terrific Batman: Arkham series. With a less than ideal early access launch three days before February 2, the Deluxe Edition owners faced a game-breaking bug that was unforgivable. Its live-service elements are also not a massive hit among the OG Arkhamverse fanbase.
However, since its release, players have given SS: KtJL a try, and surprisingly, it’s not a complete disaster, so naturally, fans would be looking forward to what Rocksteady has planned for the game in the future and when exactly its first season will be launched.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 1 Launch Details
The conversation around Suicide Squad: KtJL, especially before its official launch, was not really as positive as Rocksteady Studios might have hoped for, so as a safe measure, the developer wasted no time in announcing details about its first season. The world may be coming to an end in the new Arkhamverse installment, but that does not mean that the live-service title will not be getting fresh post-launch content.
Possibly the best part of the upcoming content is that all of it will be free, so that should give players peace of mind.
SS: Kill the Justice League Season 1 is scheduled to begin next month in March 2024, but knowing the recent history of the game, things could get delayed once again due to a variety of reasons. Rocksteady hasn’t provided an exact release date yet, and all that fans have is the launch window.
The first season is set to include plenty of new content, including another playable environment that Task Force X can run around and wreak havoc in. It will also feature some fresh boss fights along with different versions of enemies that the Squad comes across in the base game.
What Else Is Coming to Suicide Squad: KtJL’s Season 1?
All of the upcoming content in Suicide Squad: KtJL‘s Season 1 sounds great, but it is the inclusion of an iconic playable character that absolutely steals the show.
In the third episode of its Insider series, Rocksteady Studios gave extensive details about how fans will be able to play as the Joker when the first season hits in around a month.
That obviously confused fans because the Joker in the Arkhamverse, voiced by Mark Hamill, is dead, so his return made no sense.
The Joker in SS: Kill the Justice League also looks completely different than his previous appearances in the Arkhamverse, and Rocksteady explained that he is an Elseworlds variant of the Batman villain who is much less experienced in the world of crime.
