The story is fascinating but also intense and challenging as it has numerous curse techniques, domains, and other aspects. One of the most pivotal roles in the series is given to death-painting characters such as Choso and his brothers. However, it might be a surprise, but Sukuna could have turned into a death painting before he took over Megumi’s body.

Before taking over Megumi’s body, Sukuna could have become a death painting in Jujutsu Kaisen

Megumi Fushigoru has always been a part of Sukuna’s evil plans since he met him in the first chapter. This might be due to his lineage and the weapons he possesses.

During the Shibuya arc, Sukuna was fascinated to see Megumi possessing Mahoraga, and his interests solidified in him. As we see later, Sukuna takes control of Megumi’s body during the culling game arc.

Taking over Megumi was the most crucial point in Sukuna’s plan, as he could summon Mahoraga and use it to bypass infinity and kill Gojo, which might have been difficult without Mahoraga’s adaptive powers.

However, Sukuna could have taken over Megumi’s body in many other ways, such as turning himself into a Death Painting.

Sukuna, being a powerful curse, could have just turned himself into a death painting such as Choso, Eso, and others and taken over Megumi’s body.

In an official fanbook release, Gege mentioned how Death Paintings worked and elaborated on other topics the fans were curious about.

Sukuna and Yuji dynamic in Jujutsu Kaisen

At the beginning of the series, many fans speculated that Sukuna and Itadori would be similar to Naruto and Kurama, where they both come together and defeat strong opponents.

However, as it turns out, Sukuna doesn’t care a single shred about Itadori or his well-being; he would leave no stone unturned if it meant causing Yuji trauma.

Sukuna only cares about his existence and helps when Itadori is seriously in danger of dying, such as in season 1 when they encounter a special-grade curse spirit.

Sukuna’s action toward Yuji has outright been cruel, but fans love how he does not believe in the power of friendship, is just pure evil, and wants to wreak havoc.

Currently, Sukuna resides in Megumi’s body after he broke the binding vow and left Itadori. The manga is about to depict the face-off between Itadori and Sukuna, as they want to settle it once and for all.
