Solo Leveling’s protagonist Sung Jinwoo has recently unlocked a new power that was seen in the last episode of the series. This ability allows him to advance in his Hunter career, increasing his strength.
The System bestows on Jinwoo a Shadow Extraction skill at a certain level, enabling him to call forth the spirits of fallen warriors as formidable shadows. He thus becomes the series’ next Shadow Monarch. In addition to being formidable creatures of disaster, monarchs were the rulers’ greatest enemies when it came to their desire to take over Earth and take up residence there.
Using this ability, Sung Jinwoo forges an army of formidable warriors who grow to be some of the most formidable characters in the series. These warriors or soldiers vary in terms of strength and ability and can be ranked accordingly.
1. Beru
Beru is an incredibly strong character who is both the Ant King’s shadow and a Marshal Grade Shadow. Only Igris and Bellion can match his strength as a shadow in Jinwoo’s army. He defeated dozens of S-Rank Hunters from Japan and South Korea who had been assigned to the Jeju Island expedition.
Beru’s endurance and speed are his greatest assets. As the sole Shadow possessing the ability to utilize Healing Magic, Jinwoo frequently confides in him to tend to the injuries of Hunters. In addition to his unique abilities, Beru also possesses the Gluttony trait, which allows him to absorb the abilities of those he devours.
2. Bellion
Before his passing, Bellion worked as the shadow monarch Ashborn’s servant. Bellion and the rest of Shadow Monarch’s army, however, submitted to their new master when Ashborn formally named Sung Jinwoo as his successor. Bellion is the strongest shadow in history and a Grand Marshal Grade shadow, making him an incredibly strong individual.
His sword, which has parts that connect to form a centipede-like blade that can also be used as a whip, is unusual. He is seen carrying it while donning a full suit of armor.
3. Igris
Igris is Commander Blood-Red Igris’ shadow. He is a man of honor who only speaks when it is necessary. He also regards his master as a deity. His form resembles that of a warrior, covered head to toe in steel armor and armed with a lightning-emitting sword. Igris gained the ability to speak when he reached Marshal Rank and continued to grow stronger until the end of Solo Leveling, much like other strong members of the protagonist’s army.
Igris can move very quickly and is very strong. In addition, he possessed abilities such as Dominator’s touch, which allowed him to manually manipulate objects.
4. Kamish
Kamish was a formidable Dragon who oversaw the first S-rank Gate. It had been able to take out a great deal of S-Rank Hunters with ease and leave a path of immense destruction in its wake. Kamish was on the verge of becoming one of Jinwoo’s most formidable Shadows. Jinwoo’s Shadow Extraction worked, but it was short-lived because it had been dead for more than eight years.
Nevertheless, in terms of solo leveling, it was among Sung Jinwoo’s strongest Shadows. Some have referred to him as humanity’s greatest catastrophe. He destroyed much of western America and killed a great number of Elite Hunters.
5. Greed
Greed was Hwang Dongsoo’s shadow. Greed is one of Jinwoo’s army’s more powerful shadows as a General Grade Shadow. Following extraction, Greed was given a Commander rank and was able to communicate with Jinwoo. Greed is incredibly powerful, possessing the strength of a former S-Class Hunter.
Greed is a muscular, humanoid shadow with sharp claws, glowing purple hair, glowing red eyes, and a cracked, horned skull mask that reveals the upper right corner of his face. He also has a light purple glow around his eyes.
6. Tusk
Tusk is the shadow of Kargalgan. Tusk is comparable to an S-Rank Hunter in his capacity as an Elite Knight Grade shadow. At the time of his extraction by Sung Jinwoo, he was an Elite Knight Shaman. As he advanced in level, he became a Commander. He proved this by using a single fire spell to dispatch hundreds of demons and killing a giant in one blow.
As a mage, Tusk depends more on magic than on brute force. It is capable of utilizing dozens of magical abilities, such as granting allies shields, manipulating gravity, and launching devastating fireballs.
7. Iron
Iron was Kim Chul’s shadow. Iron is comparable to an S-Rank Hunter as an Elite Knight Grade Shadow. He is not as strong as Igris, though. Iron has become stronger and now holds the rank of Elite Knight despite only having the body of an A-Rank Hunter. He frequently loses his cool on the battlefield while brandishing a heavy ax, much like his original persona.
Iron can taunt his opponents, making them attack him without hesitation. However, stronger opponents cannot be defeated with this skill.
8. Jima
Jima is Boss Naga’s shadow. There are rumors that Jima had extremely durable armor in his former form, which is typically used to make armor and shields for hunters. Jima is a creature that bears resemblance to a cross between a sea serpent and a human. This magical beast can be quite difficult for hunters to deal with because of its proficiency in both magic and melee attacks.
Jima could also use mana to expand in size and gain greater strength. Jima can even stab a giant and launch it into the air with his increased strength.
9. Kaisel
Kaisel is the shadow of Kaisellin, a wyvern that Baran used as a battle mount. Jinwoo frequently mounts Kaisel for battle or in situations where he is unable to use Shadow Exchange. Many people believe that Kaisel is not as strong as other Monarch subordinates like Bellion because, aside from having the capacity to fly, it rarely displays its strength. As of right now, it is a Knight with the same rank as Tank.

10. Tank
Tank is the ice bear’s shadow that Jinwoo encountered during the Red Gate Incident. In most fights, Tank follows its animal instincts and charges at any enemy it comes across with its fangs and claws out. Tank often exhibits animalistic behavior in his role as an ice bear, tearing opponents to pieces with his teeth and claws and slicing them with great force. That being said, he is also quite intelligent.
