Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball is a series that has left a much greater legacy than any anime or manga series. The series became a fan favorite when it was aired for the first time on television, and the series only grows in popularity as time continues to move on. To keep up with its popularity, the franchise the non-canon Super Dragon Ball Heroes was an interesting addition to the several series, movies, and video games in the franchise.

Even though DBH is a recent addition to the franchise, the non-canon series by Toei Animation has got the viewers hating on the show for affecting the legacy of the canon series. Despite hating on the series for various reasons, it gave its viewers one of the most iconic Super Saiyan transformations that could not be achieved by our Z-Fighters.

Even though Akira Toriyama was not a part of Toei Animation’s Super Dragon Ball Heroes is a non-canon series it expanded the show by featuring new arcs with new characters and exclusive Super Saiyan transformations. As per Dragon Ball Wiki, the show featured a non-canon character named Cumber, an Ancient Saiyan interred by Fu on the Prison Planet.

The character is nicknamed the Evil Saiyan for all the right reasons as he is a tall and muscular figure with long black hair. Cumber showcased typical Saiyan traits of violence, savagery, and an intense urge to fight anyone he comes across. One of the unique traits of the ancient character is how he had mastered the state called Evil Saiyan aka Legendary Evil Saiyan.

This empowered state is only used by Cumber, where a black and crimson red aura radiates around him, creating a noticeable change in height and muscle. The look is quite similar to Kakarot’s SSJ 3, except he retained his eyebrows.

However, this state was also achieved by Turles after he ate enough Fruit of the Tree of Might, where he gave a tough to The Prince of All Saiyans. This form can also be used while transforming into SSJ, as the God Slayer displayed it while transforming into SSJ, SSJ 3, and Golden Great Ape.

Now, Goku and Vegeta can not use this form because, during Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, it was mentioned how the SSJ God fought an army of Evil Saiyans. This remains a mystery if every Saiyan with an evil heart could use this form, or if they had to follow a ritual like SSJ God’s, where 6 Saiyans of evil hearts transferred their powers into one.

In either case, both Saiyans can neither use this form nor master it because they possess a pure heart, as time and again they have risked their lives saving the universe from threats like Frieza, Cell, Majin Boo, and many more.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes Was A Mess For Integrating DBS with Dragon Ball GT

Toei Animation’s Super Dragon Ball Heroes was a mess, though some would consider the show entertaining as the series featured a time rift, combining characters from Dragon Ball GT, leading to multiple versions of the same characters, it felt quite jarred to witness multiple versions of Kakarot and The Prince of All Saiyans.

The power scaling in the series was a mess because the series was full of strong charactersand it featured more powerful foes as it progressed. However, it relied heavily on transformations and even fusions, which made the room available for transformation between an SSJ 4 and an SSJ Blue or ridiculous SSJ form.

The series is iconic as the show featured villains from Dragon Ball Z movies like Turles, Bojack, and Cooler made a return, saving the show from becoming an utter failure.

Super Dragon Ball Heroes can neither be streamed nor rented on any platform.
