As per a recent report by Variety, the MCU is rooting for its original cast. Talks are going that Marvel Studios could bring back the original Avengers for a new film- Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff.

There are currently two Avengers sequels in development: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty which is set for May 1, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled for release on May 7, 2027.
How Iron Man Could Return To The MCU?
The departure of Iron Man, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., in Avengers: Endgame left a palpable void in the MCU. However, with the MCU’s ever-expanding multiverse, there are a number of ways that Iron Man could potentially return.
One fan theory suggests that Tony Stark will eventually replace the existing artificial intelligence in Spider-Man’s suit. If anyone in the MCU has the technological know-how to carry out such a mission, it would be Stark. Tony Stark was a brilliant scientist, and it is not inconceivable that he would have created a backup of his consciousness in case of his death.
Tony Stark could potentially travel back in time from before his death to prevent his own demise. This would be a very risky and complicated undertaking, but it is not impossible.
Another popular theory indicates that Iron Man could make a comeback as a soldier of Kang in Avengers: Secret Wars. This theory is based on the comics whereby Kang assembled an army of Thors, termed the Thor Corps, one of them was an Iron Man variant who, like all other Thors, was able to lift Mjolnir and accompany Kang in battle.
Overall, there are a number of theories that Iron Man could potentially return to the MCU. However, it is up to MCU and Downey Jr. himself to decide on the comeback.
