With the project under production currently, it seems as if Gunn has his fair share of peculiar demands, even when it comes to the background actors who will be featured in it. A recent X post details the kind of asks that have been made with respect to the background actors, and a motion capture performer that the creators are currently looking to hire.

An X post by DCU Updates details the kind of demands the production has placed for the Superman project. First and foremost, the post revealed the kind of demands the creators have with respect to a ‘female stand-in’ that they are looking for. The job will pay $13 an hour with a guaranteed 8 hours of work minimum and requires the stand-in to be between 4 “9 and 5 “1, which may considerably reduce the pool of talent that applies.

Regardless, the demands become a bit unique when it comes to the need of a female motion capture performer. The studio has put out that they need a small/petite female who can move well, with a stipulation for people who have a police/military background.

Lastly, it seems as if a range of background performers are set to get soaking wet during the filming, as the final screenshot suggests.

It has been created for background actors willing to get wet during the filming, which the production expects to happen during 2 days of the filming. They will be paying an extra $20 for getting soaked, which in itself is expected to happen only during ‘some of the scenes.’

There has been a plethora of speculation with respect to the 2025 project, expected to once again delve into the origin of the titular character. While the initial image released by DC brought forth considerable criticism due to the way Corenswet’s character looked, the outlook seems to be changing of late, especially as production continues.

Gunn recently revealed that they are done more than halfway through shooting, which means that while fans do not have a lot of details about even the title, let alone the plot, Superman is heading towards post-production quite smoothly.

With David Corenswet as Superman, it will see The Marvelous Ms. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Isabela Merced listed as Hawkgirl. Further superheroes who will be seen in Superman include Green Lantern, set to be portrayed by Nathan Fillion, Mr. Terrific, and Metamorpho.

Nicholas Hoult is set to take up the role of Lex Luthor, expected to be the major villain in this narrative. While more details are expected to be revealed in due time, it seems as if the overall plot of the movie will be kept under wraps for the time being.

Of course, with the shooting itself complete more than halfway, it is only a matter of time before we see concrete updates regarding the projects.

Superman is currently expected to be released on July 11, 2025.
