Superman & Lois has a fan following big enough for it to be the only CW show part of the Arrowverse to not have been canceled yet. Tyler Hoechlin as Superman and Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane have won the hearts of the audience even after Henry Cavill’s version gained maximum popularity. Recently the co-CEO of DC Films confirmed that the show is still pending telling a lot of stories that it is to be canceled just yet.

While the network has been cost-cutting a lot it would seem as if the per-episode budget for the show is much bigger than expected. While fans have taken that rather positively due to their love for the series, it could put Superman & Lois at risk of being canceled as well.

Superman & Lois Revealed Their Per Episode Budget

Superman & Lois brought together fans of Henry Cavill as well as Superman as Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch took over as the titular characters. The show managed to gain massive success and saw very quickly the capability and talent that Hoechlin has as the Kryptonian hero. The budget for each episode recently was revealed and it proves that somewhere there had been faith in the show since the start.

The series has a budget of about $5 Million per episode, making it a total of $75 Million per season. This already made the show much better than the rest of the series part of the Arrowverse. Superman & Lois proved by a landslide that it is much better in terms of quality content, storytelling, and relatability as compared to shows that saw their ratings fall gradually like Flash. There are not a lot of negative comments and reviews that one might encounter when talking about Hoechlin’s series.

Superman & Lois Has To Compete With The Last Of Us

With its third season right around the corner, one show that it has to compete with is none other than The Last of Us. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey have been ruling hearts with their performance in the show and the budget for each episode is higher than that of Game of Thrones’ first six seasons per episode budget.

Seeing the huge budget for Tulloch’s series, there could be a possibility for the two to perhaps come on par with each other if it were to be increased. That possibility, however, may look to be difficult. CW has been seeing constant losses as of late and has not made any profit in a long time.

The goal changed from showing something new to the audience to managing shows with a smaller budget. If the budget were to reduce or the series was to be canceled, fans would automatically be disappointed. Whether or not HBO Max would take up the show for itself and increase the budget accordingly will only be something that would come into play if it were to be canceled or reduced in budget.
