Helldivers 2 continues to be on top; after less than a month of being released, the game is the second most played game on Steam, day after day. With more than 400,000 concurrent players, the fight for democracy is on fire. The community is very active, and they are always looking for new challenges or the opportunity to make some Liber-tea.
Unfortunately, this is not all good news; some soldiers are abandoning the fight for democracy too soon. Thanks to a Reddit user who noticed a peculiar achievement of the game not being on 100%, many players were called out for this.
Sad news for Helldivers 2: Many players have not even completed a single mission
The key feature of Helldivers 2 is the remarkable yet elevated difficulty that will obligate players to work with a team to finish the missions. So this journey to spread democracy is not for everyone; some soldiers are not up to the task.
But the amazing numbers that Steam has of the game are saying that many players are willing to confront this difficulty and deliver democracy. Various players don’t seem to be so on board with the Helldivers 2 experience, and they have not even completed the tutorial.
Thanks to a very aware user on Reddit, he calculated how many Steam players did not even complete the tutorial level in Helldivers 2. One Reddit’s user has made a screenshot of two particular achievements.
“The Real Deal” achievement is for completing basic training, and it has a 95.5% completion rate, so this means that 4.5% of players have not even completed the basic training. This could be for a number of reasons; the most obvious is that players bought the game but have not even played it yet.
Another alarming number for democracy
In the same Reddit post, the other achievement, “Bug Stomper,” also has a very strange completion rate. This particular achievement is unlocked after passing one bug-related mission. These are some basic missions for the newcomers in the game. This achievement has a 91.9% completion rate, so 8.1% of Helldivers 2 players have not even passed one bug mission. Various players surely bought the game and did not play any missions or just went after the Automaton.
Helldivers 2 will probably have new content soon; the mechs are already available on some maps, and players have seen new and possible enemies in the game. The community called this entity The Illimunate, but there are no signs of attacks from these beings just yet. The social media of the game has not posted anything about this.
Tell us what you think about these particular completion rates. Have you already spread some democracy?
