In 2019, Jason Blum, the head of the Blumhouse production and producer of The Forever Purge film, shared a picture of himself with the Purge series creator James DeMonaco on Twitter. Blum wrote a tweet stating that he met Stallone,

After meeting the legend, he shared a follow-up update, “The meeting went great with #sly. He did punch me because we were late.” Jason Blum shared no further details if the meeting were to discuss his possible appearance in the movie or future installments.

Nevertheless, many were thrilled to see them together, and the post assured fans that the First Blood star will someday depict some iconic character in the Purge franchise.
