Rocky star Sylvester Stallone speaks out about his private life, family, and career in a candid interview. The actor, 76, has a thriving career in the midst of a complicated personal life. He also revealed that he now looks at fatherhood from a different perspective.
In his interview with The Sunday Times, Stallone talked about his brief divorce from wife, Jennifer Flavin. They have been married for 25 years and decided to call it quits in August. But, things turned different in the following month, and they eventually reconciled.
“Let’s just say it was a very tumultuous time. There was a reawakening of what was more valuable than anything else, namely my love for my family. It takes precedence over my work, and that was a hard lesson to learn.”
The family’s spokesperson also told Page Six that “they decided to meet again at home, where they talked and worked out their differences.” They assured that the couple was very happy.

Sylvester Stallone Admits Being A Career-Driven Absent Father
Stallone and Flavin have three daughters, and the actor has two sons as well, including Sage, who tragically passed away in 2012. The famous action star confessed his regret over not being an active father to his kids. With a successful career in the movie industry, it is easy to get caught up with fame.
“I didn’t pay enough attention when they were growing up. I was so career-oriented, and now I’m like, ‘Okay, I don’t have that much runway in front of me, and I want to start asking them about their lives.’ I ask them about their day, and they started out a little monosyllabic at first, then I heard someone say, ‘I was just thinking about you.’ Oh my God. I’ve never heard that in my life.”
The actor revealed he felt relieved knowing his daughters care for him.
Fans Dissed Stallone For Choosing Fame Over Family
Despite Stallone’s change of heart, fans are not impressed with the actor’s revelation. Many trashed him on Twitter for being an absent father. Check out what people have to say:
When you become a parent that's your #1 job for 18 years. You'll have 8 hours (plus commute time) away from your kids per day M-F to make money. The rest of the time you need to be a parent. Those 18 years go fast, don't f-them-up. If you can't commit then don't have kids.

Right? So he's getting old, thinking he hasn't got much time left, so NOW he's interested in his GROWN daughters' lives? Seems very narcissistic to me.

Way to show up for the family when you need them and they don't need you. Classic man.

No one is perfect, and that is a fact, even celebrities fall from grace from time to time. This is why we have to take wise steps before leaping into decisions because fame is temporary while family will be there forever. Hopefully, Sylvester Stallone will make up for lost time with his children.
