Despite being one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood and an accomplished writer, the last few years haven’t been the smoothest for Sylvester Stallone. The Rocky star, who went on to lose one of his most beloved franchises in recent years, also went on to sustain a huge loss after he decided to sell one of his most luxurious Beverly Hills mansions in 2022.

Sylvester Stallone sustained a huge loss after selling his mega-mansion to Adele

Stallone’s Beverly Hill mansion, spanning over 3.5 acres, was initially listed by the Rocky Star for a staggering price of $110M but wasn’t able to attract any buyers. The mansion, which comprises a personal Cigar room with an air-filtration system and a personal movie theatre, includes 6 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a gym, a sauna, a steam room, an infinity pool, a custom bar, etc. But despite the initial $110M listing, Pop Icon Adele reportedly paid only $58M to add the property to her collection.

The 21st-century Pop Icon, who previously expressed about the prices of properties being too expensive in London, now owns 2 properties nearby, in the Hidden Valley area of L.A. However, this isn’t the only loss that Sylvester Stallone has sustained in recent years, as the actor also decided to cut his ties with the Creed threequel due to creative differences.

Sylvester Stallone decided to leave his most beloved franchise due to creative difference

Despite being a constant in all the Rocky and Creed movies, which he has helped in crafting since the franchise’s inception, Sylvester Stallone didn’t return for the latest installment of the Creed franchise. Even though the franchise has a very special part in Stallone’s heart, the direction that the new movie was going for wasn’t his cup of tea. Apart from his beef with Irwin Winkler, Stallone wasn’t sold on the idea of the hero going into a dark path and decided to back away from the movie. He said,

“It’s a different philosophy — [producer] Irwin Winkler’s and Michael B. Jordan’s. I wish them well, but I’m much more of a sentimentalist. I like my heroes getting beat up, but I just don’t want them going into that dark space. I just feel people have enough darkness.”

Despite sustaining a major loss after selling his mega-mansion for almost half of its originally listed price and shifting away from the Creed franchise, the actor still hasn’t brushed off the possibility of returning. Even though Stallone wasn’t a fan of the new direction that the movie was heading toward, the actor expressed that he might be still open to returning if Winkler isn’t attached to the project.
