Which Film Does Sylvester Stallone Regret Doing

Sylvester Stallone has openly expressed his disappointment with the action sequel Escape Plan 2: Hades, describing it as “beyond awful.” The original Escape Plan brought together action legends Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger in a thrilling prison break narrative. Stallone portrayed Ray Breslin, an expert in prison design who finds himself framed and trapped in a supposedly impenetrable facility. The first installment gained considerable success internationally despite modest reception in the US.

Back in 2016, it was confirmed that Sylvester Stallone would reprise his role for the Escape Plan sequel, this time alongside Dave Bautista from Guardians of the Galaxy. Following the completion of the sequel’s production, Stallone and Bautista swiftly transitioned to filming Escape Plan 3, which took place in the same prison used for The Shawshank Redemption.

News about Escape Plan 2 remained relatively quiet until an unexpected trailer and release date emerged in early 2018. The film skipped theatrical releases in many regions and received predominantly negative reviews. Despite being touted as the film’s stars, Stallone and Bautista had limited screen time, the storyline was flimsy, the set designs appeared cheap, and the action sequences failed to engage.
