Chris Hemsworth is not a fan of Watiti’s work in Thor 4, as he stated that even though the cast of the film enjoyed working in the film, after some point it became silly, and naturally fans were not too fond of it. “I think we just had too much fun. It just became too silly. It’s always hard being in the center of it and having any real perspective… I love the process, it’s always a ride. But you just don’t know how people are going to respond.”

During an interview with Today, Chris Hemsworth stated that the goofiness featured in Thor: Love and Thunder was because of Watiti’s inner child.

“It was Taika at his craziest. Taika, normally, is kind of at an 11, so you can do the math there. He described it as like he’d been given the keys to the kingdom, and someone said, ‘Here if a seven-year-old was making a movie, what would you do?’ He said, ‘Well, I want to put this in it. I want to do this. I want to try this.’ And everything he suggested, I said yes to, and then we had this insane film in front of us.”

Nevertheless, fans were not too fond of the director’s inner child, as he created a film full of cringe-worthy scenes, and even Chris Hemsworth’s kids did not hold back. As they were not a fan of how the Asgardian traveled in a Viking Longboat, dragged through space by two goats.
