The All I See is You star and Lover singer have been at each others’ side ever since they connected in Australia for a day back in 2015. And they never turned back. You know they are up close once you realise that the trio – James, Betty, and Inez, around whom Swift’s songs Cardigan, Betty, and August revolved, are actually the names of Lively’s kids.
Add to that the fact that she is the godmother of all of them. Their camaraderie and close friendship are admired by the industry at large, even prompting many to think that they might be besties. They might not be wrong. And their friendship might have proved to be a boon in disguise for another actor, Isabela Ferrer.

It is not common to see two heavyweights in the Industry grow this close to each other. The elusive nature of these friendships is what makes fans treasure them. No wonder the equation between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift is one which everyone adores.
Their friendship can be traced back to a social media post by Lively, where fans accused her of throwing shade at the Delicate singer. The Age of Adaline star would later clear the air, revealing that she was a Swiftie all along. Later that year, the two would link up in Australia. And there was no turning back ever since, with Taylor Swift playing an important role in It Ends With Us.
And as it happens, music isn’t the only sphere where she is contributing to the movie.
Casting Isabela Ferrer as a younger version of Blake Lively was a fine move
Blake Lively’s latest, It Ends With Us, brings to life one of Colleen Hoover’s most celebrated works. The bestseller was a cult classic amongst her fans, who jumped at the prospect of seeing a live-action version of it. Blake Lively was no different. She would admit that she couldn’t help but fall in love with Lily Bloom. The A Simple Favor star knew that she couldn’t mess this one up.
Since then, Lively has put her best foot forward. Reviews from the film’s premiere have confirmed her conviction, with many praising her for anchoring the project and honoring Collen Hoover’s book in a manner not many could have. But that isn’t the only thing fans praised about the movie.
Many hailed casting Isabela Ferrer as a young Lily was spot on, as she seemed just like a young Blake Lively would have looked.
Taylor Swift might have played a role in Isabela Ferrer’s It Ends With Us casting
Isabela Ferrer felt elated for having been a part of the project. Essaying the role of Lily Bloom meant as much to her as the opportunity of working with the 36-year-old star. And she has revealed that it might not have been possible without the intervention of Taylor Swift.
At the premiere of It Ends With Us, she said,
“I don’t even know if I’m meant to be saying it, but I am saying it. She was a helpful part of the process of audition, which I found out later, after I got it and that rocks my world. I have no words.”
It was a dream come true for Ferrer, and she made the most of it. Seems as the Look What You Made Me Do singer has an eye for cast, as not many could have picked a better alternative.
It Ends With Us releases in theatres on 9th August, 2024.
