Instead of trying to impress the executives with his acting, White ended up cross-questioning them and thus screwed up his chances of being a part of that movie. He asked the executives,

“Tell me about why should I do your movie. They were like, ‘F*ck you,’ and I was like, ‘Right on.’”

Jeremy Allen White has never been a fan of the superhero movie genre.

Jeremy Allen White has always been cynical of the superhero movie genre

As the superhero movie genre has continued to grow over the years, we’ve seen more and more A-listers make their debut in the genre and thrive in it. Over the last few years, we’ve seen many stars like Dwayne Johnson, Emilia Clarke, and Dakota Johnson make their debut in the genre.

Although their movies and series have not done that well among fans and critics, making their debut in this genre has opened up multiple future opportunities for the stars. It seems like Jeremy Allen White has also taken notice of this trend as the actor’s stance on the genre has changed rapidly.

“I’m confused at how the pinnacle of an actor’s career has ended up in that place.” said White in an interview a few years ago.

In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, White said, “They get really good filmmakers to do those movies and obviously they get really good actors to do those movies.

Jeremy Allen White revealed that although his outlook has changed a bit towards the genre in recent years, he still does not regret turning down the opportunity when it came to him. He said,

I played it the way I wanted to play it.”

Jeremy Allen White recently portrayed the role of Fritz Von Erich’s second son, Kerry Von Erich in the Iron Claw movie alongside stars like Zac Efron, and Haris Dickinson.

Iron Claw grossed almost $32 million against a production budget of $16 million. Although the movie was not a major commercial success at the box, it was still a massive critical success as it largely received positive reviews from fans and critics.
