It is not confidential that Mickey Rourke has undergone a lot of surgeries. Although cosmetic surgery is a way to have a beautiful appearance, but even a minor change can drastically affect a person’s overall face. Of course, not every celebrity reveals they’d undergone plastic surgery, but most celebrities like Mickey Rourke do. Young Mickey Rourke

Early in his career, Mickey Rourke was renowned for his beauty. In films like Diner (1982), Rumble Fish (1983), and The Pope of Greenwich Village (1984), he displays a boy toy vibe.

Young Mickey Rourke never smiled in movies. Not because he was always playing an unhappy character but because he’d lost some teeth as a child and only smiled with his closed mouth. But as his career rolled back and forth in waves, he started smiling more, and his teeth were almost in shape. The Iron Man 2’s main antagonist’s face has evolved since then as it would either inflate or deflate.

Before acting, Rourke developed an amateur boxing record of 27 victories (17 by knockout) and three defeats from 1964 through 1973. He claimed that his smile had been harmed by his stint as a professional boxer. In 2009, the actor told The Daily Mail:

“Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together.”

“I had my nose broken twice. I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.”

Page Six reported in 2015 that Rourke was getting more surgeries to fix his nose and get new dental implants.

Mickey Rourke has suffered from severe injuries on his face. Some of his surgeries were so severe that he had to undergo gruesome cosmetic surgeries. Unfortunately, the surgeons he met ended up ruining his mug. A wrongly done facelift can cost a man his sideburns, and Dr. Youn says this seems to have happened with Rourke.

In an article for CBS News, plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn guessed what surgeries Rourke has endured over the years. Dr. Youn told the outlet:

“The unnatural curve between his ear and cheek and his now-attached earlobe are also telltale signs of a facelift.”

The doctor also suggested that Rourke had upper eyelid surgery and hair transplants. Another doctor, Hala Elgmati, told Mirror that excessive Botox could have paralyzed the actor’s facial muscles. Of course, all of this is speculative, considering that Rourke does not appear open to discussing every procedure he’s had.
