Tessa Thompson has been confirmed to be joining her Thor: Ragnarok co-star Chris Hemsworth in Sony‘s Men In Black spinoff film.
Fate Of The Furious filmmaker F. Gary Gray is set to direct the movie, with the script being written by Iron Man screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. The studio has the film set for a release date of June 14th, 2019.
Sony’s Men In Black reboot is set to feature new characters for their series rather than Agents K & J, portrayed by original Men In Black actors Tommy Lee Jones & Will Smith, and will build more on the contemporary sci-fi world in which they operate around.
Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are back as producers while Steven Spielberg is returning as executive producer.
In addition to her recent work in last year’s hit, co-starring with Hemsworth in Thor: Ragnarok, Thompson has also recently appeared in the recent sci-fi picture Annihilation and is currently shooting Creed II, with Michael B Jordan returning. This summer, she will star in Annapurna’s Sorry to Bother You and has a prominent role in HBO‘s upcoming second season of Westworld, which launches this spring. She will also be returning in her role as Valkyrie in Marvel‘s Avengers: Infinity War.
