“Thank God that didn’t happen”: Marvel Planned for Green Goblin to Combine His Suit With Iron Man Armor in No Way Home

Spider-Man: No Way Home not only featured multiple versions of Peter Parker but also brought back villains from the previous 20 Spider-Man movies, including Willem Dafoe’s famed Green Goblin.

When the creative team was developing how the Green Goblin’s iconic suit would appear in the movie, they were so enthused that they created some concept art. Although the crazed villain’s look was fantastic, concept art for the Spider-Man sequel reveals that the Green Goblin might have also worn Iron Man armor.

Green Goblin Almost Got an Iron Man Suit in Spider-Man: No Way Home

Concept art from Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art of the Movie, Green Goblin which was played by Willem Dafoe, is seen in a few takes of the movie using pieces of Iron Man’s Mark VI armor. In one of the ideas, the armor is even painted in the usual shade of purple, paying homage to the character’s standard color scheme from the comics.

Seeing this, netizens feel that it was good that it did not happen.
